Her signature llustration-style synthesizes POP Culture, Fashion/Art, Rock N Roll Spirit, Whimsical apathy, & Kawaii seduction to embody a fantasy girlboy persona with bedroom eyes, pouty lips, and an androgynous apeal.
Kalani has drawn editorials for magazines such as NEWSWEEK/ Marie Claire (Japan)/ BUST/ Brigitte (Germany)/ Sal. Oppenheim (Germany)/ and various stuff for Fairchild Publications and also G+J Publications.
She was also featured in the book, New Fashion Illustration (Chrysallis), exhibiting various fashion illustrators from around the world.
Kalani has been creating graphics for Fashion Diva, Anna Sui, for almost every season since 2003. Her illustrations were made into limited-edition scarves, fancy umbrellas, shoulder purses, t-shirts, etc.
