Ruby

Ruby's name, though few know this, is actually derived from an acronym, "Rational Upbringing - Began Yelping". Which, since it describes her behavior after birth, was clearly not her first given name, but rather one her studious parents settled on after observing her actions. Her name before was also Ruby. But it was a reference to a gemstone. . . Go Figure.
