    Old Dutch

In 1898, Peter Krantz bought the Brilliant City Brewery in the small northwest Ohio town of Findlay. His three sons began brewing the secret recipe for Old Dutch Beer, which later became known in the region as simply "The Good Beer". During Prohibition, Krantz Brewery dabbled in providing non-alcoholic beverages and even produced milk, but kept its brewing equipment in fine working order. When Prohibition ended, the demand for Old Dutch Beer returned and so did the electric sign next to the brewery that featured a waving American flag.
